The Lexus Dealership in Bloemfontein has received the 2018 Lexus CE Dealer of the Year award, recognising the company’s consistent performance as well as being better than any other dealership.

Sales Manager, Altus Moolman, says receiving this award means that they are definitely doing something right, not just in the sales department, but also in the service department. “If customers are happy with your service or product, they will come back. We are very excited to have received the award as we did not expect it. We are a shop in shop, operating in the same space with Toyota, so we are not a stand-alone dealership. Even to Lexus South Africa this has come as a welcome surprise. Our staff members share our passion for the Lexus brand and this translates in our work.”

For Altus and his staff, knowing what their customers want and need is most important. “It is important to know how to handle each customer as an individual. A customer is not just a customer, he or she is part of the family and must be treated in the same way your best friend would be when visiting you at home.

And that’s the difficult part, getting to know the customer in a very short period of time.” This is often not easy, however, it has been proven that the Bloemfontein dealership has the right formula. The award is based on telephonic interviews done with all Lexus customers in the country, enquiring about their experience and treatment at their dealership, which means that winning this accolade is not only a great achievement for the Bloemfontein dealership but also reflects on the warmth and respect the personnel provide to their customers. “Lexus sells itself but people don’t always know Lexus, and that’s where the challenge comes in. This is also why this award means so much to us. At least we know that our customers will talk about the brand. They’ve had the experience and they will talk about the experience and the vehicle.”

When walking into the dealership clients immediately experience the feeling of luxury surrounding them. The sales personnel get to know them better and find out what they like, without overpowering them or invading their privacy. The Bloemfontein dealership is the only one servicing the Free State, North-West Province, Northern Cape and Eastern Cape, and the award is proof of why people travel all the way to experience the luxury of the Lexus brand.

“Bringing in your vehicle for a service proves to be an experience. This award also reflects the manner in which our service customers are treated. Specially trained master technicians work on the Lexus vehicles and Lexus owners have the assurance that only the best of the best service their vehicles,” says Vic Angerer, Service Manager of Lexus Bloemfontein.
